What Deletion Does

Account deletion removes your Paw Beside profile, sign-in data, saved pets, uploaded source photos, generated private media, app settings, and push notification tokens from active systems.

If you shared a pet by link, the link stops working. People who already kept a copy keep it as a still picture.

What May Be Retained

We may retain a minimal deletion audit record, purchase or app-store records required by law or store policy, and fraud and security logs.

Residual copies of deleted photos and media can remain in our disaster-recovery storage for up to about five weeks, and account records can remain in encrypted database backups for up to fourteen weeks, before becoming permanently unrecoverable.

Purchases

Deleting your account removes any pet purchase you have not used yet. It does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel it in your App Store account settings. Payments and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play, where you made the purchase.
