What We Collect

We may collect your email, sign-in details, uploaded photos, generated pet media, purchase status, app settings, and basic app activity such as errors or feature use.

How We Use It

We use this information to create and show pets, save your account, process purchases, prevent abuse, fix problems, understand what parts of the app are working, and learn how people find Paw Beside.

Who Helps Us

We use trusted services for sign-in, storage, native billing, analytics, and pet generation. We share information with them only as needed to provide Paw Beside.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your Photos

Photos are used to make your pet and support the result. Account deletion removes uploaded source photos, generated private media, saved pets, profile information, app settings, and push notification tokens from active systems.

If you're offered First Look, your photos may be drawn into portraits before you buy anything, so they're ready sooner. Those portraits stay hidden until you buy a First Look, and portraits nobody bought are deleted after 7 days. Portraits you buy are kept with your pet and can be saved to your phone.

Account Deletion

You can request deletion from the app Account screen or from https://pawbeside.com/delete-account. You will need to sign in with the same Google account or email-link account used in Paw Beside so we can verify the request.

When deletion is complete, your profile, sign-in data, pets, uploaded photos, generated private media, settings, and push tokens are removed or tombstoned so the account can no longer be used.

What We Retain

We may retain a minimal deletion audit record, legally required purchase or app-store records, and fraud and security logs. These records do not keep your raw email, display name, private pet settings, source photos, or generated private media. If you shared a pet by link, people who already kept a copy keep it as a still picture.

After deletion, residual copies of photos and media can remain in our disaster-recovery storage for up to about five weeks, and account records can remain in encrypted database backups for up to fourteen weeks, before becoming permanently unrecoverable. These copies are not accessible in the app and are used only to recover from data loss.

Your Choices

You can manage notifications, sign out, and use account controls from the Account screen. If something feels unclear, contact support from the app.

Website cookies

Google Analytics is off unless you turn it on in Cookie preferences below. When on, it counts visits to public pages and taps on the store buttons, with approved campaign labels. It sets no advertising cookies, and ad-click identifiers, personalized ads and Google signals stay off. Analytics events never include pet details, account information or free-text search terms. Your choice lasts up to 180 days; turning it off clears its cookies. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep it off. When you visit pawbeside.com, our host, Google Firebase, records each request (IP address, approximate location, browser, page address and referring site) for 30 days, for security and to count visits by campaign. We use only totals. Links to the App Store and Google Play carry a short label naming the page and the kind of site you came from, so the stores can count downloads by campaign; nothing is stored on your device for this.
